Die Jury des Beldocs International Documentary Film Festival begründet ihre Entscheidung mit diesen anerkennenden Worten:
"Because of its singular approach to the art of documentary, the masterful way that brings together seemingly inharmonious fragments of the world, its curious gaze at the life which is usually hidden, its respect for the people in front of the camera and its high aesthetic treatment of film language, cinematography and editing the jury has unanimously agreed that the award for Best Documentary in the International Competition at Beldocs 2017 is given to UNTITLED by Michael Glawogger and Monika Willi."
